Origin
How Amara came to teach this.
Amara started yoga at thirty-two, recovering from a marathon injury that the orthopedist said would require six months of rebuilding. The rebuilding took three months. The practice stayed for the rest. She trained as a teacher in a small studio in Lisbon, then in Kyoto, then quietly went back to teaching out of a single room above a bakery in Porto. She still teaches there twice a week and asks UrbanLuxx members not to ask her about it.
Philosophy
Stillness is a skill, not a mood. You build it the same way you build a deadlift — repetition, patience, a willingness to be bad at it for a while.
A phrase you'll never hear in a Amara session: "Just relax."
